PPL seeks fellows!

Posted by Public Policy Lab

Calling all service designers, design researchers, interface designers, innovation experts, housing-policy experts, and more! We are currently seeking fellow candidates for Public & Collaborative: Housing Services, a partnership with the NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development and Desis Lab at Parsons the New School for Design.

This initiative will explore opportunities for delivering more effective, efficient, and satisfying public services and for facilitating service solutions developed by citizens. Working together, our fellows and other members of the project team will assess HPD’s current service offerings and generate concepts for improving service delivery, for tenants and the agency.

For detailed information, please download our complete Call for Fellows [pdf] and also visit our fellowship page. Note: The application deadline is 9 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21.

We’re planning to award three to five fellowships for this project. In addition, one HPD staff member will join the fellow team. This is NOT a full-time award: Fellows will be expected to dedicate at least one day per week to fellow activities from March through May of 2012.

We accept applications from professionals with full-time positions if they have the support and encouragement of their employers; recognition of employer firms can be arranged. Firm principals and sole proprietors are also encouraged to apply, with the understanding that the work is rigorous and the honorarium is modest. Download the Call for Fellows [pdf] for complete application and project details.
